I’m not sure I understand your question Dave, maybe you’d like to be a bit more specific and we could actually make a nice post about it :)

To determine an accurate number of backlinks to your site go to Yahoo —NOT Google– st ust this syntax:

link:your.domain

Yahoo is far more accurate.

Sante J. Achille October 12, 2008 at 20:33

There are contrasting opinions on that one Rob, YAHOO! certainly offers a more detailed view of back linking profiles, however many argue that Google tends to offer the most important links which is what counts most …

Great post. If you’re serious about the SEO of your blog, or any site for that matter, you need to have a broad campaign that encompasses several facets of search. It’s easy to get lost in the semantics, but keep in your mind the user trying to find you and do everything you can to make yourself available through more than just organic results in Google Search SERPs.

Although I want to add directory to my wordpress but am not sure that if it will look good or not. Perhaps we should have directories entirely separate from blogs.

Goolge tends to be a bit more coy about the links it counts so not to give the game away.. I would say the more link you have that google count the better yahoo just count and shows everything

A valuable resource for hoteliers, EcoGreenHotel.com is dedicated to helping hotels address environmental issues and implement environmentally friendly initiatives. It is a marketplace with plentiful amounts of information ranging from green products and services, industry “green” news, basic environmental overview to other tools like checklists, green project ideas, book lists, and resourceful links for a more sustainable hotel.
